Whether you love soccer or not, a visit to Estadio Municipal Parque do Sabia is a must. This 53,350-seater facility is named after the late Joao Havelange, a Brazilian and former president of FIFA. Havelange also served as a distinguished IOC (International Olympic Committee) member. The stadium hosts soccer events, even though it has the capacity for athletic activities. Local football fans did not like the new name and opted to stick with Parque do Sabia. The pitch measures 130m by 90m (427ft by 295ft) with the playing surface covered by grass. While in Uberlândia, a visit to Sucupira Waterfall, 17 km (10.6 mi) away from the city center, is worth your time.
